does anyone remember the name of that old dos game that was 2 tanks on hills and you had to shoot the ground out underneath the other persons so they would fall off a cliff?

Yeah. Plenty of variations on Scorched Earth out there :)

Search Abandonware websites and you're bound to find it.

You just have to buy a couple parachutes. And a death's head. Launch the death's head at 45* into the wind at max power, and you'll smash everyone on the map. Your parachutes might be useless, but hey, you get the smug satisfaction of smashing the map.

I loved Montezuma's Revenge on my C64. Found it a couple years ago again through an emulator and it wasn't as good as remembered. I'll just stick with my memory. Other favs were Pharoah's Curse and Impossible Mission.

And no doubt, all from a 720k floppy at most.

Amiga, 1 disk around 800K 1989 (the year I started mountain biking)



Draconia (misprint, was renamed Menace) was an even better game 1988
