Yah a section that was a nice little chute with a tricky corner and a little rollable drop too. You can tell the track was super pumm too, real loose and sandy.... i enjoyed watching it.
Yeah I just got excited and posted. Before they got to the shoot. That looked like a fun course, not too rough but with the 'bmx jump' (I love announcers) it made it interesting to watch.
"She's damaged her rear derailleur and she will have to be careful to make sure her rear sprocket doesn't explode!"
To be honest, I was mostly bored through the half hour it was on...there were a couple good parts, but to be honest, XC racing isn't much of a spectator sport. Its more of a participation...
Yeah I heard that too. They even shrunk the 'jump' but still, it was SOMETHING. I couldn't watch the whole thing either. The first lap or two and then they caught up to people walking down the shoot...real bummer
For all the Pro Racers that complained that the 96 course was too easy WTF!
You could fit a car on that single track. I only noticed one significant climb, between guzzling beers... and none of it seem technical at all (besides sand and a few rocks). The jumps were nice but I wouldn't consider that anything near as interesting as the course here in atlanta.
