Does drafting have as much of an effect as it does in road cycling?

Also, since the team time is when the third team member crosses the line, why don't they arrange it so the weakest skater is leading the pack on the final lap... that way, the strongest can push the weakest as the weakest tires.

just random thoughts since this is the first time I've seen team skating.

How many people per team ?
How many teams on the Ice at Once ?
Is it a Head to head race , or time ?
Short track or big track ?

3 per team... all three must finish, time is third across.
two teams starting on opposite sides of the track.
head-to-head... winning team advances.
big track (i think)

Was cool to see. I think -- as silly as it sounds -- that they could take some tips from roller derby on team tactics. Not that I know much about derby.
