ok, so I should have asked in this forum about DJ/Urban/Play bikes first.

anyone got any opinions on the gimp?

im planning on building it around a fox vanilla 125 rlc that I got for a song and extra parts just lying around/scavenge my Dean 1x8 project for this.

the dean would provide:
titec ti bar- also have an easton carbon bar or two...
brake levers
avid mech discs
wheelset (not heavy duty, but not bad- king up front, XT hub out back)
grips
seatpost (have a 27.0 thompson just lying around- i know- blasphemy)
seat
older XTR cranks/jericho 34t sufferring/bottom bracket
chain

lying around:
16t cog plus spacers for the 8 speed rear.

what i'd still have to get:
king headset (no other way to go in my oppinion)
stem

thoughts?
so, I'd be out about 300 for the gimp frame, 100 for the headset and ??? for the stem. not bad for a play bike!

That guy's actually on ridemonkey trying to sell for around $200. But I haven't been able to get a response to email or pm in less than a week when I've tried to contact him. He supposedly wants to trade frames with me but can't even answer a pm.
