I can't believe how may counties have fallen for China's Belt and Road initiative. From what I have heard, it sounds more like Boot to the Neck.
Does not seem to matter where you are on the political spectrum, if you can exploit a person or peoples, it will happen.

Debt is the only way economic growth can really occur in regards to modern finance. And at the same time it can also be crippling, there is a fine line.
And without lending, only the rich can afford growth, without war at least, but war is also expensive.
You should go to Zambia and tell the locals that. Tell them about the land you have that you don't need to farm. The toils of your labor for a hobby. I am sure they will be understanding.
