Living the dream.
If you had the ability to go back in time to see one live performance by any single artist/band, who would you want to see and what performance?

Edit: I'd love to watch Peter Frampton during the now popular live recording of Do You Feel Like I Do.

I was at the Lollapalooza show...funny thing is, I was so stoned out of my mind I don't remember most of it. I would like to go back and experience it sober.
Haha, that's the way it goes I guess. I couldn't imagine going to something like that and remaining sober the whole time.

Best acts I have ever seen always seem to be the opening acts I didn't care about but got blown away by. I'd have to say it is the one I never knew I wanted to see.

If I had to give a real answer I'd have to say when Soulive played a small local club that had a really cool atmosphere.

Mozart - not that I am a big fan but I would like to go a little further back in time and I speak German so that would help too. Plus I would blow them all away with my knowledge of the future.

There are FAR worse bands.
I guess I've heard worse garage bands, but everyone, the band members included, knew they sucked. I can't think of a single band that became famous and popular despite being as excruciating to listen to as Def Leopard.

I agree that Def Leppard is sh!te.

"Guitar!...Drums!"
Good god do I hate that band.
Worst band ever though? Nickelback as far as the ones who actually use instruments.

it would've been really cool to be able to see woodstock '69. my uncle was there and he said that what he could remember of it was ridiculous.

There are FAR worse bands.
Maybe, but they wrote the worst song ever!

"Pour Some Sugar On Me"

Step inside, walk this way
You and me babe, Hey, hey!

Love is like a bomb, baby, c'mon get it on
Livin' like a lover with a radar phone
Lookin' like a tramp, like a video vamp
Demolition woman, can I be your man?
Razzle 'n' a dazzle 'n' a flash a little light
Television lover, baby, go all night
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss ah innocent sugar me, yeah

Hey!
C'mon, take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah

Listen! red light, yellow light, green-a-light go!
Crazy little woman in a one man show
Mirror queen, mannequin, rhythm of love
Sweet dream, saccharine, loosen up

You gotta squeeze a little, squeeze a little
Tease a little more
Easy operator come a knockin' on my door
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss innocent sugar me, yeah

Take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah

[guitar solo]

You got the peaches, I got the cream
Sweet to taste, saccharine
'Cos I'm hot, say what, sticky sweet
From my head, my head, to my feet

Do you take sugar? one lump or two?

Take a bottle, shake it up
Break the bubble, break it up

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough
Pour some sugar on me
Oh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
Get it, come get it
Pour your sugar on me
Ooh
Pour some sugar on me
Yeah! Sugar me!

Back in the early 90's, I saw Metallica, Guns n Roses, and Faith No More in Texas Stadium on a Saturday and went to the 2nd Lollapalooza on Sunday.
Ministry did "Supernaut" from Sabbath and Kirk Hammett, Flea, Chris Cornell, and Anthony Kiedis came out and played/sang along. It was awesome. The crowd ripped the seats out of the concrete and had these huge sections of seats up in the air and they were passing them around like crowd surfers.
