Does anyone on here use Onstar?
I have it on my 04 Chevy Silverado and just found out I can't link it to my verizon wireless
account because my Onstar unit is analoge only, not dual mode.
Also as of 01-01-2008 all pre 2005 systems will no longer work.
Onstar offers a upgrade for pre 2005 vehicles, but you have to sign up and prepay for 3 years of service :mumble: @$500.00
The whole thing is BS

Why would you use onstar to begin with? The majority of people have it disabled at the dealership because of its uselessness.

Through Verizon you can use your cell air time on your onstar phone and it the same price I'm paying now for just one phone. I like the hands free cell in my truck.

I don't see the need for OnStar. I carry a phone with me so my wife can keep tabs, that's bad enough. What do you use it for?
