Is there any bike like an Onza Zoot that is less than $800? I'd really like to get into
trials, but it's just too expensive.

Not that I have seen. You might be able to get a 26" Bionic or an Echo for less, but the Zoot is only available at a couple of places. 24s are still commanding a bit of premium.
