Opinions on back protection, Leatt?

I'm looking at back protection and dont want to spend a lot. I'm looking for mainly lower back protection.
I see the Leatt vest with 3df, but back piece seems pretty thick. It is level 2 certified.
I'm also looking at the nukeproof spinal back protector, no reviews or much about it.
Any opinions between the two or others.
Thanks.

I've got the first gen 3df full body armor thingy. I really like it. I've had the POC, 661, and other ones in the past, this is my favorite. I feel like it gives a touch more mobility that the POC, but doesn't fit QUITE as well. The POC is a bit snugger and more form fitting on me (XXL Leatt, L/XL POC). Protection is pretty good. I've had some huge moto and MTB crashes on it and it definitely does it's job.

Next year I'll probably try the newer POC and/or the second gen leatt stuff. I know Hacktastic complained that the Leatt stuff feels pretty hot. I don't really think so though.

Mine's for sale. Rode it once. Just don't like full sleeve armor when it's hot out.

The padding on it seemed pretty awesome though.
