I have got SEVERAL spreadsheets of data, blank cells are assumed to be zero "0" but our statistician needs actual zeros to be placed in these cells. Is there a quick-and-easy way to automatically do this? I tried, but gave up and began manually entering zeros but this is a daunting task.

is there a way to de-select a cell accidentally clicked?

Tools > Options > "View" Tab >

Make sure "Zero Values" is checked.

Click "OK".

Now all entries of "0" will show in the cells.

Hold your CTRL key and click on that one cell
I tried that, for some reason it doesn't work. Just figured it out, if you hold SHIFT and click that one cell it will de-select. How intuitive of you, Microsoft!

My "Zero Values" is already checked but the problem is, these blank cells have no values and I want to make them all zeros.
