Looks like it...Is there some kind of threaded female receiver in the helmet or what?

I always make sure my helmets have go-pro mounts/adapters...and I always make sure the lights I buy offer go-pro style mounting. How does that helmet mount attach to your helmet? Is there some kind of threaded female receiver in the helmet or what? I'm looking for a similar mount that will avoid a permanent adhesive mount, to use on several different helmets. Lots of options with bulky straps but nothing I've seen is that clean.
Yeah, the Smith Forefronts (1 and 2) have a threaded screw hole right there built in to the helmet. The 3D printed doodad is specific to the Forefront, it has a rib/lip on the bottom that sits just inside the vent hole to prevent it from spinning or turning side to side. It's pretty slick. How does that helmet mount attach to your helmet? Is there some kind of threaded female receiver in the helmet or what? If no one else calls it, I’ll grab it from ya next time I see ya.I think I've still got the official Smith version of that mount, yours if you need it @Full Trucker or anyone else.
Looks nice, but $480 USD.Just spotted the Ravemen 6000 Lumen light, they sell direct outta China and look to be cheaper and less shit looking than Magigshines.
I only want a little light, and Ravemen make lights with low beam short throw for commuting, I have to cover my Niteriders if someone is coming the other way as the beam pattern is factory set to maximum cuntishness.
Wireless Switch Control Headlight

EDIT- Not cheaper than Magicshine, had the wrong currency selected.
Huh, showed up as $350 USD when I had the currency set incorrectly, maybe because there was no import tax to Oz......?
It shows $350 at first, but then magically changes to $480Huh, showed up as $350 USD when I had the currency set incorrectly, maybe because there was no import tax to Oz......?
What price does it show from this link?- https://shop.ravemen.com/products/xr6000?_pos=1&_sid=a665f129a&_ss=r
I just found the light I wanted on clearance in Aus, so it's cheaper than direct anyway.

Took it out front it's so damn bright...2 lights up everything...got the new portal on helmet as well...double evo?!!! nice
As long as wheel and bars are straight the rest of me is crookedYour bar/stem aren’t centered, AAAGGGHHH. (OCD ALERT)
I picked up the Portal when it was released too, first use was following a load of Deep Cove locals down a bunch of trails I'm not familiar with on Mount Seymour on a night ride in the wet, which funny enough was the same situation when I first picked up Outbound stuff a few years ago and immediately threw myself into the deep end down some of Seymour's gnarliest in the dark.Took it out front it's so damn bright...2 lights up everything...got the new portal on helmet as well...
Yeah I feel like that when we lived in the NW..Northern Idaho and Washington...lots of crap wants to maul you..I picked up the Portal when it was released too, first use was following a load of Deep Cove locals down a bunch of trails I'm not familiar with on Mount Seymour on a night ride in the wet, which funny enough was the same situation when I first picked up Outbound stuff a few years ago and immediately threw myself into the deep end down some of Seymour's gnarliest in the dark.
Such great products. We use the hangover on a gopro head strap to walk the dog in the fall and winter pretty much every day since it gets dark early and we've got a lot of animals around that I prefer to avoid...bears, cougars, coyotes. Actually lit up a big coyote across the street on the golf course one night a couple weeks ago, he likes to taunt my dog in the mornings when we see him occasionally too. Full casual stretches and yawns, then lays down non nonchalantly on the 18th green with NFG. It likes to steal peoples golf balls during the season, will grab them and run away, have seen it with a full size canada goose by the neck too!
The portal on the gravel bike bars is also really good and can mostly go without a second light on the helmet too. Evo/Portal combo is so good for higher speed tech mtb stuff.
