Each vinyl 45 has been taken out of the picture sleeve and washed with a special alcohol-based groove cleaner, then wiped with a clean soft cloth. The record was then placed in a high-quality white stiff paper sleeve. I also placed some .28 acid-free cardboard in the original picture sleeve, to preserve the sleeve and prevent folds, ringwear and other damage. The original polybags were removed, as they showed massive signs of ringwear and clouding. The sleeved vinyl, its original paper sleeve (if available), and the picture sleeve were replaced into a protective polyethylene 7-inch clear sleeve bag, with a resealable flap. I placed a sticker on the back of the flap to prevent tampering and to preserve freshness - yes, this borders on anal retentiveness, but don't you want the best quality for your records?
