I aint no eletrical dude, but if I hear experiment, 3 phase and dryer cord in the same paragraph, I'll just assume its ugly.
Experiment is just 10 servo motors and load cells, but it is still ugly. Now I know why I used to have to get Ontario Hydro to inspect shit before I was able to power up machines in Canucklestan. I guess I can't expect much when it comes to electrical connections in the Mechanical Engineering department of a university.

The wood instructor in school was completely useless. Never showed us how to safely operate any of the machines. He did demonstrate the proper angle at which to press the on button to the lathe. Been that way for years he said. I unplugged it, disassembled the switch housing and cleaned the copper contacts and reassembled it. Took all of 15 minutes.

He later told me that I was one of the worst of the worst students he ever had. We learned more about woodworking from the school’s shop steward than that clown.

Camping in @Full Trucker 's driveway for the night while heading to a MTB race tomorrow morning another couple of hours away and he's out of town south of the border. I promised not to poop on his lawn ;)
