I saw this on New Year's Eve with Laura and I have to give it thumbs up. It was a good date movie - but more than that. I thought the acting was very good, the soundtrack very good, and the locations where the film was shot (NYC and Ireland) were excellent.

Anyone else see it yet?

My wife's making me read the book before we see the movie. Yeah, don't say it- I know I'm domesticated. Least I can do for popping my kids.

I thought it was good. But I thought it was also the most sad movie I have ever seen. Its not a "feel good" date movie thats for sure.

True it isn't as sort of funny romantic comedy-ish as the trailer makes it out to be. Which is why I think I really enjoyed it that much more. My expectations were low going in and I was truly pleasantly surprised.

not this movie, my family has done that before. we hang white sheets and sit on the hill infront of the barn. we have a bonfire and all. lots of fun
