what's the largest tire size an 04-05 p2/3 frame can fit?

my friend had tioga 2.5s on his p1 and there close but thats a 03 model dont know how much they really changed though

What do you mean small? 2.7 is 2.7


well, i know for sure 05 p2/3 will fit 2.3 on a 26. since i'm not building the frame up, i don’t really want to go with 24's so lets talk about stock 26 inch wheels.

If you look at a 2.7 Maxxis and compare it to say, a 2.7 Intense, it is noticeably narrower, and more comparable to a 2.5 from any other manufacturer. I run a 2.5 High Roller in the back of my P.2 and there is clearance, but not too much. You could probably cram a Maxxis 2.7 or other 2.5 in the back but there would be no room for your wheel to go outta true or for mud clearance.
