Hi all, 2 quick questions. I've found some new but cheap carbon e13 cranks for my DH bike: LG1R, as seen on Gwin's bike.

    1. Has anyone seen any long term reviews? I can't find any specific to that model.
    2. What the hell is a P3 Connect 29 mm interface?? Does this mean I need some kind of PF 29 bearings? Or will it fit straight into my 30mm bearings.

    Cheers!
    Kurt

can't comment on carbon, but i guess people are using them.

the p3 connect is just the interface between the crank arms and the spindle. any bearings / BB for a 30mm spindle should work.

Cool thanks. I thought e13 had gone all dub on us.

I've got a set of their now discontinued xc cranks and have been very happy with them.

So I bought the cranks, waiting for them to arrive. In the meantime, I'm needing to get a new BB. I've got [sigh] a press fit BB107 in my frame that runs 24mm spindle cranks.

    Would this BB fit?

    http://www.wiggle.com.au/race-face-bb92-cinch-30mm-bottom-bracket/

It's for a 30mm spindle, comes in 83mm width and is pressfit. Just wondering if there isn't some other RF cinch standard I don't know about.

    Cheers.

Can't comment about that race face one, but the e13 bb for bb92 also works for bb107. So I'd say it's a safe bet the race face one would work.

Not sure if you saw in my other thread, I just got a hope bb for my e13 cranks that's bb92. The bearing diameter is the same for bb92 and bb107 so in theory the same bearings should work.

follow up question. New frame is on the way so I'm taking the cranks out. Except I can't because I don't have the F#%&*^ tool. Is there any other way of removing these cranks, aside from using these tools? e13.jpg
    Thanks guys.

What crank do you have? Most I've seen have a self extracting bolt setup on them..

e13 LG1r cranks. 165mm in carbon. It didn't look like a self extracting bolt, but I'd love to be proven wrong!

also, if you don't have the tool, shoot e13 an email. there's a pretty good chance they'll hook you up.

Yeah, ordered one from the shop and it just came in today. Worked a treat, just annoying that it's another standard.
I also picked up the BB tool.... for $45 AUD! It's not much bigger than an old school spoke key.
