Picked up a new DH bike for the fiance and the paint is a bit beat up and she doesn't like the color.

It's cheap enough, it's still winter, and I always like a project, so. What sayeth the monkey's, powder coat of paint?

I'd like to do up a fairly nice job for her. Which will hold up better?

Either way I will put a few coats of clear over top to try and make it more durable....

I have professional powdercoat and paint options nearby both for reasonable prices, just curious which you guys have had better success with.

PC will def be more durable. Be sure they know to make off the locations for pivots/bearings, etc
yeah, I planned on prepping the frame myself (or at least most of the way). My brother knows the powdercoat dude in town pretty well, so I am hoping I can get a little extra attention paid to prep and set up to get a nice turn out for her.

Less than $100 too, so thats cool.

any concern with the temperatures necessary for powder coating damaging the frame (doubt it, but never hurts to ask/double check)
