Alarmed by lawmakers' demands to cut off billions of dollars of U.S. aid after bin Laden was found living in a Pakistani safe house for six years, President Asif Ali Zardari has ordered a full-court press to quell mounting accusations that it helped the al Qaeda leader avoid capture.

Mark Siegel, a partner in the Washington lobbying firm of Locke Lord Strategies -- which is paid $75,000 a month by the Pakistani government -- told Reuters on Thursday he had spoken twice to Zardari since U.S. special forces killed bin Laden on Sunday, and "countless" times to the Pakistani ambassador in Washington.

Damn straight. He was in an affluent neighborhood with many high ranking local and military officials also residing. Cut them off, it's not our problem anymore. They offer us no value especially given their incompetence in the one major thing they were supposed to be working on.

So their nuclear arsenal is not a problem?
Nothing like a country spending every dollar they can to create a nuke, so that they can pick up an eternal annuity from the US.
We've become Rome. We have expanded into lands we had no place being and it is bankrupting our country. It is time for us to cut bait and reap what has been sown.

Plus if they fire off a nuke anywhere, the world will turn entirely against them. Do you want to be an associated country when someone goes off hinge and starts ww3? They are dealing with a fraction of what our country can throw at them. We are not mobilized as a nation and the world has not mobilized either.
All that being said we are falling as a country. Our time has passed and it's time to see who will rise. I've got $ on the BRIC nations.

I'm waving. Can you see me now?
I really don't know what to make of this. I cannot say that they were hiding him because I don't know that for a fact. But what I know for a fact is that America could have used that money to hire an employee with half a political and financial brain.

So their nuclear arsenal is not a problem?
not directly, no. it's much more a problem for india, & any flareups involving nukes will result in an unprecedented refugee crisis that will no doubt have global economic implications for decades

oh...

i guess that is a problem
