You are correct. Joe will only make embarrassing statements about needing an Indian accent when going into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts. At least Biden won't ask what the chopsticks are for...

Yeah, he's a dumbass on that one. Everybody with a brain knows that Pakistanis have all the Dunkin' franchises! You are correct. Joe will only make embarrassing statements about needing an Indian accent when going into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts.
There was a flutter of attention when McCain campaign manager Rick Davis told a group of Post reporters and editors yesterday that his team was having to rework the vice presidential acceptance speech because the original draft, prepared before Gov. Sarah Palin was chosen, was too "masculine." While we all wondered to ourselves what might make a speech masculine or feminine, no one batted an eye at the underlying revelation: that the campaign was writing the nominee's speech before knowing who the nominee would be.
Listening to her talk is like chewing tin foil.I'm eagerly anticipating Palin's speech tonight. It'll show just how well she can read a teleprompter...
you'd think she could keep the reigns on her own kids <-kids never make mistakes do they? You're right, it's not hypocrisy, it's proof of a complete lack of sound judgement in both public policy and her own family leadership: as an adamant supporter (pusher?) of abstinence as the only choice for birth control, you'd think she could keep the reigns on her own kids let alone the policies for a whole nation.
When you manufacture your own adversity, I can hardly call you strong for standing up to it.
O'Reilly seems to think so. Or at least when it involves celebrities kids who make mistakes instead of an AK governor's kids who make mistakes...you'd think she could keep the reigns on her own kids <-kids never make mistakes do they?
parents have complete and total control over everything they do...
do you have kids?
are they perfect?
or if you don't will they be perfect and follow EVERY thing you teach (or try) to teach them?
On the pinhead front, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. The sister of Britney says she is shocked. I bet.
Now most teens are pinheads in some ways. But here the blame falls primarily on the parents of the girl, who obviously have little control over her or even over Britney Spears. Look at the way she behaves.
Rewind the tape. Now read for comprehension.you'd think she could keep the reigns on her own kids <-kids never make mistakes do they?
parents have complete and total control over everything they do...
do you have kids?

or if you don't will they be perfect and follow EVERY thing you teach (or try) to teach them?
so you see no logical fallacy in the assertion the veep will run her office with the same freedom she can run her household?Ohio was making the point that in Palin's household, the chosen birth control didn't work.
I think that you need an explanation of the difference between Vice President and First Lady...vpotus soap boxes have all worked so well in the past
nancy and just say no
hillary and health care...
laura...hmm well don't know and don't care what her soap box is.
quoting between breaths, because I can't stop laughing at all the layers of humor in you confusing Palin for first lady.vpotus soap boxes have all worked so well in the past
nancy and just say no
hillary and health care...
laura...hmm well don't know and don't care what her soap box is.
I agree. Given that truth, who can conscienably promote abstinence-only education?parents don't always have full control of their kids
A zealot or an idiot, your pick.I agree. Given that truth, who can conscienably promote abstinence-only education?
Not the argument I'm making.so you see no logical fallacy in the assertion the veep will run her office with the same freedom she can run her household?
i think a better - but unfortunately for her distractors a non-existent - argument would be trying to implement failed policies as governor into the office of veepNot the argument I'm making.
Point I'm making is that (from the limited info available online) she promotes abstinence-only education, and is opposed to public education or advocacy for other forms of birth control (I understand the reasons people believe in this approach; the lack of efficacy overrides the moral purity of it in my mind, but that's a side point).
I do not understand how she can believe that this policy will work for the greater public, when it cannot even work in her own household. You cannot think I equated the two, when my argument was, specifically, that she will have less control or influence over the behavior of any other teen in the country than she does her own daughter.
Hey he has experience. He is now touting his leadership within..... tada... the BO for Prez. campaign organization...... obama's biggest strength is more & more becoming his lack of experience
My father has an opinion about governors: they don't do anything.Hey he has experience. He is now touting his leadership within..... tada... the BO for Prez. campaign organization.
"You two young idiots had better keep your pants on, you have caused enough trouble already..."I'm so glad the McCain camp isn't using Palin's daughter and soon-to-be-husband for any type of grandstanding or photo-op.
oh wait.
spoke too soon...
"If you don't smile and pretend that you're happy to be married and a father at 18yo, I'll have the Secret Service take care of you and they'll never find the body...""You two young idiots had better keep your pants on, you have caused enough trouble already..."
that's just disgusting.I'm so glad the McCain camp isn't using Palin's daughter and soon-to-be-husband for any type of grandstanding or photo-op.
oh wait.

There are already, and will be many more, other arguments against her qualifications for and capabilities as VP. We picked the funnest one today. I'm sure by November we'll cover the more relevant ones.i think a better - but unfortunately for her distractors a non-existent - argument would be trying to implement failed policies as governor into the office of veep
She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered speciesshe was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska
Can't help you there. We are all allowed to be incorrect or change your "feelings" on this one.My father has an opinion about governors: they don't do anything.
Over the years, I've come to believe that.
..and how she total blew her opportunity to help her state. On rare occasions a governor's ability does matter, like Louisiana's Blanco...
based
Again, desperation when my #2 is compared to your #1......that a mayor of a 5,000 pop. town and a governor of a state with less than 700k is eminently qualified to lead a country.
And how long was Barry in the Senate? And how many "present" votes did he have in the Ill. State House?I will discuss Obama's qualifications, the list of senators who have become President:
Getting his head blown off being his crowning achievement.Kennedy
It is pretty pathetic that so much attention has gone to this, but on the other hand, when you pick some random person from Alaska who no one knows a damn thing about to be VP, any information that comes forward is going to be endlessly dissected in this climate. There's also the fact that our culture is constantly preoccupied with the sexual exploits of others, whether it be Britney Spears, Congressman Hastert, John Edwards, A Rod and Madonna... you get my point.Mainly because she has a daughter that has problems keeping her panties on.
DistractionSo basically Palin is just a distraction to take some attention and chic away from Obama
Again, people confuse Hypocrisy with Perfection....So why not point out the inconsistencies in her personal life against the values she preaches?
I thought the Present Vote issue, which like an abstain, was interesting: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/20/us/politics/20obama.html. He chose that option 130 times on 4000+ votes. And how long was Barry in the Senate? And how many "present" votes did he have in the Ill. State House?
Uh, Cuban Missile Crisis? "Ich bin ein Berliner"? Civil Rights Act of 1964?Getting his head blown off being his crowning achievement.
And you can thank Republicans in the Senate (over the objections of the Dems)..... Civil Rights Act of 1964?
The Strong South? And you can thank Republicans in the Senate (over the objections of the Dems).
I don't have any favorites here, but to suggest that this woman was picked for any other reason than that she is a woman, and somebody "different" is stupid. There are probably hundreds of people more qualified than this woman, so why else would she be brought on? It's an election strategy... not a choice made in the best interests of the nation. And why defend that when you don't know the woman any better than anyone else does?Distraction
I didn't call her a hypocrite... but it's hard not to notice/laugh at the irony of the situation.Again, people confuse Hypocrisy with Perfection.
And your point is? FYI, Al Gore Sr. just one of many Dems who opposed it. That from the party that brings your Robert Sheets Byrd. The Strong South?
Did you hear the Southern Democrats of the 50's & 60's is now Republican? Jesse Helms ring a bell?
All of the best intentions are worthless if you cannot get elected. If you are concerned about "best interests" of the nation, you better be very concerned about the Empty-Suit of Barry O.It's an election strategy... not a choice made in the best interests of the nation.
A little Gooooogling does wonders ....And why defend that when you don't know the woman any better than anyone else does?
