Brief Description: Cross Country Races & Virginia State Single Speed Championship
Fees: $20 until Oct. 25, $25 thereafter
$10 - Juniors 14 & Under
Online Reg. Closes: October 27, 2005 09:00 AM Pacific Time
Course: 4 Mile Loop of very fun, technical single track through rolling & steep terrain
Location: Williamsburg, VA - Take the Croaker exit (231 B), turn right on Moss Side Lane (Rt. 609) then right on Riverview Road (Rt. 606).
Parking will be on the right
Course is on Private Property and is closed to the public except for Race Weekend!
Prizes: $5,000 Cash & Awards
$3,000+ Total Cash Purse
Note: *All riders need to be at Start Area 15 minutes early!

I've done it the past few years. It is a very laidback grassroots kind of race. They project Disney type movies for kids, a large bonfire to stay warm while you wait for a team mates and there is usually a large metal container containing bubbly yellow liquids. Half the people there are racing seriously and the other half are there ride and have fun. The trails are tight flowy singletrack. Two years ago I did a 2 person team and last year I went solo.
sorry to hear that...im really lookin' forward to that race this year. i am ALMOST tempted to go for the enduro but i want to be at least mildly competitive so i think im gonna do the sport class...not even close to fit enough to do expert
