So today was the first work day for the up and coming DH race in Oct. We had a great turn out. About 12+. A BIG THANKS to all that attended. We got the Top part of the trail done. It now has to very large Berms that flow down and crosses over the old first strait down to the Tree Root Right hand turn. We added in a few Water Bars as well so you can jump parts of the trail. Understand they were put in at all the right places to pull water off the trail, but will add a lot of fun factor to the trail. We also got some work done to the upper rocky part of the trail and mover the Large Rock that most riders hit their bikes on to a small rock drop. Most of us have been using it as a Rock Berm in the past. Thanks to Matt Griffin for coming up with the idea to make it a small drop instead of a berm. It is also placed well to help the trail drain water well. I am sure Brad will have Pictures up soon.....

We are talking about bringing back the Dirty Thursday Work Days. This means every Thursday someone should be out there working on the trail from about 5 pm till. Please stay tuned to this Tread to make sure someone will be out there to Lead that day.

As for the next Work Day we are looking at Saturday the 29th. We will be meeting at 9AM again at Shelter 5&6 and work till we stop.

Until the ranger came by and asked me to put a real shirt on. He said no power tools or automatic weapons were allowed in the forest and my arms qualified for both.


That course is rocking now.

Jeremy does this for familiar? Lets just say it was the last thing you were helping us with before you had to take off. Well after 6 strong guys killed thier backs, let's say there is no Berm Rock now. I am sure if your Guns were there we would have been able to do it with 1 guy!!!!!!

Just a reminder of the Dirty Thursday Dig Day tomorrow at 6pm. Park at the Archery Trail parking lot. If you get there late, just walk up the trail and you should find us. We will be about mid way up roughing in a new section.

Thanks to all that made it out to the work day yesterday. Very few to our last work day though. You would think more people would want to help make that trail better!!! We did manage to cut another new part of the trail in. It added 3 new turns. We still need to go back and make berms to cut more drainage ditchs. The new section will help a lot with water run off. There is still a lot that needs to be done to the trail and hope that those that want to have some say into what is done. Next work day will be planned soon. For now remember every other Thursday is a work day from 6pm till beer time!!!! We will be out there this Thursday 3rd. Meeting at the Archery Trail parking lot.
