Is this legit? It says its from www.paypal.com :confused:

Anytime an email suggests you click on the following link to do anything, it's not legit. A legit email suggests that you log into their account on their website. Which, to me, means I manually type into the address bar, "http://www.paypal.com".

Oh ok thanks. IT would of had me because it was from www.paypal and not some strange URL.

If some one gets your pay pal account they can only get what is in it, right? Or can they acess your credit card and drain the thing dry?

Usually the link in the email says "www.paypal.com" but if you check the link properties you'll see that it's actually sending you somewhere else. Once they get access to your paypal account they have access to any accounts that are tied to it.

If you have credit cards or bank accounts linked to your Paypal account, they can take anything that's in them since they just have to make a transfer into your Paypal account.
