I got an e-mail that is supposidly from paypal telling me I am eligible for a refund of 88.59 or something like that, and it gives me a link to this suit; http://www.settlement4onlinepayments.com/ . Has anyone else got this and what is this all about??

Never follow the link in an e-mail message. It's almost without a doubt a scam. Contact paypal directly.

true. but in this one case it actually isn't: paypal settled a suit and this is the claims disbursement site run by the lawyers.

in general tho, listen to Reactor: NEVER trust emails purporting to be from banks, paypal, cc companies, or the like.

F.Y.I. there is a phishing e-mail out about this subject, and a legit one. You should probably contact Paypal, or the lawfirm directly.

"All Persons who opened a PayPal account between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2004."

i opened a paypal account and used it a few times between those dates... does that mean i also get a share of that million bucks????
does that mean EVERYONE can claim money?

The way the settlement is structured most of the money is reserved for people having a problem with an electronic transaction during the period, and losing their money.

you'll have to dig a little deeper to see if you can claim part of the smaller pot.

i got about $90 something dollars from the suit - of course i usually push about 4-5k a month through paypal.
