Yes, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

It's easy to make.
It's tasty.
It holds you over for a while.
It's good MTB food.
A jar of each can make 10 sandwiches.

The bread is the key...

I have been eating it on this Multi-grain from Pepperidge Farm which holds together VERY well when spreading crunchy peanut butter. It is also slightly larger then your traditional white loaf.

Mmm... PB&J.

My grandmother (who is 93, mind you) still makes her own strawberry jam every year when the strawberries are in season. I've got two jars of it in the 'fridge.

I'm with you on the whole wheat, IAB.

Derek makes fun of me because I put SOOOOO little on my sandwiches...so, a jar of each goes bad before I can use them. :)

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
I too am a lover of a good PB&J. I don't put very much on mine either Heidi, but I definitely like stoneground, whole wheat or multigrain breads too  Guess I know what I am having for lunch today!

mmmmm....must use whole wheat bread & all natural PB. (you can keep your trans fats :dead: )

You can keep your crunchy too, that stuff cuts up my mouth worse than Cap'N Crunch.

You poor, misguided soul. Crunchy peanut butter rules all.

Of course, SkaredShuttles will chime in here any moment now telling us how mass produced American peanut butter is vile and the only true peanut butter worth eating is produced in northern Holland.

Holland makes peanut butter?

France makes the best jams, though. :thumb: Well, next to my mom, that is. :p

I have to disagree about the all natural PB, though - that stuff usually tastes like yack.

btw, our son's kindergarten is a PB&J-free zone, thanks to peanut allergies. that sucks!
The child with peanut allergies should be done a favor and stoned to death. This is freaking America goldernit. There should be a constitutional amendment protecting the right to eat PB&J, no a requirement!!!

you can keep your pulp too. there is a reason they call it "juice" not pooridge.

& whoever said natural PB sux....YOU SUCK! ;)
the thought of partially hydrogenated ANYTHING grosses me out. There should be no more than 3 ingredients in PB....Peanuts, salt &/or honey. Peter

Dark chocolate is the way to go! There's just something about that bitter sweet goodness
I agree with you - I like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate. In fact, I didn't even think I liked milk chocolate until I had the Norwegian stuff. Holy $hit is that stuff good.
