So I just bought a new PCI-e graphics card for my AGP motherboard. Genius...yes I know.

But now that I have it, is it worthwhile changing my motherboard to a PCI-e? Or should I just return the other video card for an AGP?

Just make sure that your current RAM will be supported on the new mobo if you decide to replace that.

Overall it would be easier just to get another video card though.

As Tench said, if your RAM and processor are both going to be supported by a PCIe motherboard, then I'd go ahead and make the upgrade if you're interested in future upgradability/compatibility.

AGP is dead, PCIe has officially killed it. But the only reason to upgrade is if you see yourself upgrading your video card again before you upgrade your motherboard.
