I've got a 1980s Nishiki road bike.

I want to put bmx pedals on this thing.

Will they mount right up or is it even possible?

I assume you are talking about a 9/16" pedal spindle. No way to know exactly what will work without knowing what cranks are on the bike, but I think chances are definitely that it should work fine. Just get a wrench and try it out. Remember that one pedal is reverse threaded.

I second that! Pay special attention to the thread direction. I have a buddy that couldn't get it off so he hunkered down on the wrench and stripped the threads in the crank.
