Same method for peeling tomatoes.

plus about 30 other fruits and vegetables.

funny thing is, i prefer my 'taters with skins...

I do that w/ roma tomatoes all the time. Boil em for a few minutes then dunk em in cold water. Chop, add basil and olive oil, toss w/ pasta and LOTS of ground pepper.

When you're 'cooking' (searing the outside of) a really rare steak, using essentially the same method keeps the steak from bleeding everywhere.
