People seem to think Rumsfeld is incompetent.

But Mr Eaton, a former major general, said the defence secretary had "shown himself incompetent strategically, operationally and tactically", and was "far more than anyone else, responsible for what has happened to our important mission in Iraq". Mr Rumsfeld had to step down, he said.
When you have higher-up military types throwing around this kind of talk, things MUST be bad, wouldn't you think?

I think is being set up as a scapegoat by the liberal media.

Sad really, because I loved him in the Greatest American Hero.

I think he is more insane than anything else. That man scares the hell outa me! "You go to war with the military you have, not the military you wish you had..."

Rumsfeld looks and sounds scary when you see him on the tube. All so matter of fact.

It is scary when former generals start saying stuff like that. Isn't it hard to become a general?

Nah....it goes something like:

"You're not a pooftah are ya?"
"No."
"Right! You're in then!"

Boston....outside of it....
to become a general you have to:

-go to church/temple
-be married by a certain age
-have kids by a certain age

and generally kiss America's @ss.

The President just tells America to kiss his @ss.

I like this part:

"Turning our backs on postwar Iraq today would be the modern equivalent of handing postwar Germany back to the Nazis"...

What does Colin Powell think of Rumsfeld? I saw it on TV... apparently the best-man-for-job (Powell) gave him (Rumsfeld) an earful about worldwide credibility or something to that effect.

Ahhh... when you're toy (Rumsfeld) be played by a bag of hammers (SHRUB), then anything will happen.
