for all of you who shoot digital slr, i was womdering how may fps would be best for doing sequence shots?

The more the better.
I assume you are shopping for a camera, as this usually isn't an adjustable setting on a cam. I get about 1.5 fps on my point and shoot, and it's OK. If you are shooting in faster action settings, then you'll probably want more fps. If not, then you can get buy with something slower.

Any burst over 3fps is good, my 20D does 5fps, and some others do 8.5fps
it depends on the quality of lens, size of output and speed of moving object
but you would be safe with anything over 3 for bike stuff
