Photomonkeys, this is some of the most amazing camerawork I have ever seen

A big part of giving it the "scale model" look is killing detail. That is one of the big things that stood out when i first looked at the original pics is the lack of detail, a too clean look. I don't know if that is done with the lens or post processing but it is what really gives it that look.

This is all the power of suggestion. If you looked at the photos without reading that guiding statement first they would just look like bad photos.
With due respect, they do look like bad photos to me. I'm not managing to see them as arresting images.

looks like "dude with a tripod and a tilt shift lens" to me. what i do find compelling are the images on this site (new one daily, click the image for the previous day's image):

Yah i agree, i think my pal Tenchiro should stop dinking around with Photoshop and get him a Viewmaster.:p

Huh.

Perfect example of why photography is such a varied art: I find very little to be compelling about that guy's photographs. Technically, all very good pictures, but I just clicked through about fourty or fifty and these:

...are fantastic, but I don't find many of the others to be that stirring.

Loads of talent there, though.
