This the the last 1/6th of the descent as it shoots you out of the woods right before a hard right uphill to the finishline.
This is a good wide shot of the descent, cool section:
There were a few wrecks... even more in the more difficult section higher up in the trees:
The guy in front here is about to be lapped. White helmet is the eventual winner. And the guy in the back was 3rd place.
I was in 4th position just behind this group. Riding with a broken wrist (note tape).
Later I'll post pics us everyone suffering up this climb at the beginning of each lap. Talk about suffering... no shade up this climb, 100 degrees and no wind.
