ok...i'm a bit slow. i need an action written to place an existing watermark (which is a png file, if that matters) into a photo to be resized to 500 px wide.

i looked @ the tutorial on making a watermark action on russell brown's site, but i don't have illustrator to make a path.

can anyone help me out?

yeah, i figure i'll write two actions, one to resize landscape images to 500px wide, the other to resize portrait images 400px wide.

then i need the action to place the watermark file as a layer into one of the image corners, flatten and save as jpg. really shouldn't be too hard, should it?

Do you have Lightroom? You could do the resize on export?

After the resize, what you want to do is make a new transparent file that is 500 pixels wide and put the watermark on it. That way it will stay in the same place. Then, with just that watermark file open (leave it as a .psd) write an action that copies the layer from the watermark file onto your new image. Then you can run a whole folder as a batch.

Make sense?
