I got called in to help with a job I started yesterday, got it done in 2hrs and the boss asks "Do you want to stay for the rest of the day?"
The reply was "Fuck no" and I went home.

Had two different sleeping tabs last night and was in no mood for customers.

waiting at ikea to pick up some furniture for work...then assembling it and plowing through some emails and credit card reconciliation...then off to the local trails to clear the last few clusters of downed trees.

Here. We're supposed to get Wifey's car back today. 1.5mos later. We're probably going to have to pay for the last 1.5 weeks of rental too. State Farm can eat a dick and die in a dumpster fire. I can recommend to nobody that they use them.

We're still with them for house and car because they're now pretty much the only company insuring property (for how long, who knows?).

But for our camper van I switched it to Progressive/Roamly as it was about $700 per year cheaper than the SF price.

We were informed that starting November, our insurance company is also no longer going to be renewing or writing new homeowner policies. Luckily ours renewed in September so we’re good for another 11 months or so, but what the fuck. Our agent said it’s because “American National is losing money” on property policies, to which is I say “fuck you, maybe your executives don’t need to make millions of dollars a year.” Dickheads.

*No animosity towards our agent, he’s been great and let me know the other day that he’s jumping ship from AN to be an independent broker. I’m optimistic he’ll be able to find us something, but we’ll see.

Can we get a Meme Lord™ custom title for this guy? Homeboy comes in every damn day with something that makes me chuckle or smile.
Dude is still on “monkey”. I concur a new custom title seems appropriate.

Wish I could get a new custom title that reflects my AT hiker trash adventures. But guess I’ll have to wait until I finish the trail. Humph

hi ppls

a wfh day. kids have some newfangled "fall break" thing going so they got to sleep in a bit and I got sweet weekend style snuggles (because no time pressure to commute to work, because wfh).
