why do you not respect German cultural preferences
I dunno man, depends on your preferences I suppose. Knew a chick in Art School who was always trying to pee on her boyfriend.
You been hanging out with R. Kelly?

Contrary to the popularly accepted interpretation, the expression "pissed on" in this particular axiom does not reference urination. While the noun "piss" is vulgar slang for "urine" and could directly translate to one being urinated on, in this context it is an assertion that one has been browbeaten, bullied, or defeated.

Essentially it is to say that it is more useful to be angry than to allow oneself to be taken advantage of.

Near five years to the day of tearing off my right UCL (and subsequent surgical repair...)

I've torn the extensor tendon on the same thumb. No surgery, but have to keep it in a brace 4-6 weeks.

Grip Shift may be happening at least on one mtb. Gravel bike brifters are comfy, so may just be on that a bit more. Can do whatever so long as I keep the brace on.

I think it was 2010 I destroyed mine in Whistler, wasn't even a good worthy crash. Grip shift on my fat, trail and XC bikes no issue. Still used to have trigger on the DH as shifting wasn't as frequent.

Kart is sold. Conveniently by* Greg to a friend whose kid is getting into karts. I had to do basically nothing. I got a whooping $100 less than my original goal.

so when are you buying a truck
I found somebody with a HF trailer. If I pull the tire covers off the kart fits onto the trailer fine. Talked w/ Wifey about setting up the trailer for quick leave (ie. loaded the night prior with her car in the driveway) and storing it in the garage when we leave for weekday sessions. If we can do that, the we can load and go quickly after school/work.

We can reassess the need for a truck once the track has their garages built and we can rent there. So I'll probably do a trailer for now - hopefully I don't get rear-ended again.

Bike park won. Figured out what my fork felt like jackhammered ass the last time I rode, I forgot to set the compression back after I bled the damper, it was wide open

In windrock at some campground spot. Only ones here and it's getting dark. Stars should be good tonight, I think.

Traffic through all of TN sucked balls. :dead:

Did do the tourist thing and stopped at Buc-ees. Holy fuck, what a zoo. But somehow it was awesome with 300 fuckin pumps lmao

Ate gas station brisket and didn't poop in my pants. Success!

Rode my stumpy new cranks for the first time seriously today on nearly perfectly dry trials, still a bit too wet to call perfect and a lot of slightly decaying slippery leaves in the sheltered bits too. Anyway nothing to complain about actually.

Short cranks: I literally couldn’t notice any difference, in fact I entirely forgot I had them until I got to the end and realised I only had one super minor pedal strike the entire ride. I normally have several ‘contacts’ in a ride, especially on the right for whatever reason, I think because most of the time the right is the uphill slope where I ride, and by chance especially on the rocky bits. This is why I prefer the SPD models with plastic cages.

Also at the end I rode around on the flat grass at the trailhead and I really can lean the bike over a fair bit further whilst still peddling normally. Good shit.

Also got a PB on one of the short downhill trails. No idea how. Only by 1 second though, but given how little I have riden recently I am pretty happy about that. Gonna credit it to more punchbag time and general rage at the stupidity of the world.

In other news,

Had to write the water board a check for 9 grand to install a $199 meter, These private utility companies are getting out of hand.
It is not about what it costs, it is what you are willing to pay. Turns out people are willing to pay a lot for food, water, shelter and not dying from disease/injuries.

Used Grip Shift until going to ten speed a few years back -won't have much issue ifI have to get used to it again.

Testing in tha garage - I can shift with the brace on - doesn't hurt, it's just awkward.
