Ok, so what would you monkeys do...I still havea good sized piece of cactus thorn in my finger that is more obvious now that the swelling is gone. Gonna have a few of my nurse friends look at it first, but thinking maybe I might slice my finger open.
Is this dumb?
I have no alcohol to make this questionable decision easier to make.
Maybe a youtube video for the lulz?

21 miles done on the tri bike. MTB on tap early in the morning so wife can get the ride in before she has to work. Ready to settle in for the night with pizza and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

It went in, so it must come out, right?

Squeeze it?

Oh, I have been trying to pop it like a zit for days. It went completely through my finger, hurt like hell. The entry point is healed over, so it is deep in there.

Cactus needles are known for backing out on their own.

Yes, I have experienced that...but I think there is no longer a path of egress.
all healed over.
I still have a piece of pencil graphite in my arm from when my brother stabbed me when I was 10...(but this thing in my finger is sharp)

Break a cable there? :D
lol. i always do that when first installing and adjusting the derailleur as it's easier to pull the loop to get the cable tighter if need be. it's amazing how long it will stay looped like that. it's been on several actual rough/jumpy trail rides like that. lol.

bloody mary and roasted pork time. then hot tub on the deck...

oh hi!
working like an idiot, but thinking about skiing slush and riding bikes this weekend, so I'm happy.
S and I did not disturb your being busy and important when we bicycled past this afternoon!

(But you should ponder riding bikes with us and camping in Fruita/GJ/Mack next weekend)

First bad flat of the season today. :disgust:
SC CS ghosting me. :disgust1:
dude based on my experience last march, unless you've got an aggressive bike shop backing you up you've gotta explore your options...they said they were crash replacing my frame for $1000; then were taking so long the local shop ordered a cc (original was a c) and just gave it to me for $1000.
