We have a bumper crop of cucumbers so decided to use some of the excess to make pickles (after giving away to neighbors and coworkers)
After salting the cucumbers for about an hour in a colander we poured in the "pickling liquid"---equal parts water and vinegar and about 3 Tablespoons of sugar for each cup of vinegar. I used 1 cup of white wine vinegar and 4 cups of regular white vinegar. Added some fresh tarragon to each glass and a good helping of minced garlic.
End product is yummy!!
