Geeze bro, where are the berms?Dayum I love me some rawks, yee ha !
It's a pretty fun trail. Steep and narrow and I think I'm just about the only person who uses it (the cows know where it is though).

Where is it at? (Probably should PM me instead).
Oh there are plenty of berms at Rocky Knob for sure. That section of trail is just one long rock garden, but not nearly as rough as Southern Rocks. The PBJ trail has been reworked into a massive 4X style trail with tables, whoops, and huge berms. I suck at jumping though.Geeze bro, where are the berms?
Love the rocks!
Send some rox up here...We need more rox, more hills, more roots, more EVERYTHING. Less up though..Oh there are plenty of berms at Rocky Knob for sure. I have to travel a bit to get mah rawk fix. Local "flow" (easy) trails usually have giant, whining babies who cut out roots and break rocks out of the trail. No exaggeration when I say that in many places the trail gets wider because douche bags ride around roots 1.5 in. tall. Fortunately for me and DirtyGirl, those riders won't go near the mountains because it's too hard...Send some rox up here...We need more rox, more hills, more roots, more EVERYTHING. Less up though..
Seeing a lot of this as well. 6" travel bike, rides around 2" root.I have to travel a bit to get mah rawk fix. I call that Martha Stewart trail building. There is one trail here that has long sections or slate pavers as the trail.By me they cut the roots out and put these in

Those rockssies are preciousssss!Dayum I love me some rawks, yee ha !
excuse me sir. i'm gonna have to ask you to come down from there. you appear to have gotten swerveways.Riding my bike through the air. No pavers up here.
That's uptight new York...... I mean upstate new yorkthose pavers are terrible.
Agreed.those pavers are terrible.
You watch a teevee while you ride your bike?Riding my bike through the air. No pavers up here.
The way those things are spaced that's gonna end up rougher than the roots could have beenFwiw the roots held the dirt in better that those pavers
They're basically man made braking bumps. The way those things are spaced that's gonna end up rougher than the roots could have been
I'm actually thinking that may be a way to roughen up boring smooth sections of trail. I like it!
I think thats the first pic on this thread of someone wearing plaid...I'm not sure how that makes me feel.
A couple of the big berms on Skyline at the Snowshoe bike park is like this. I've eaten it hard when my front tire dips below the eroded sides of the pavers and I go for a quick and hard dirt nap. Sucks.Mammoth has an entire third of a trail that isn't even dirt. No shit......JUST pavers.
It's a bermy jumpish thing that's way too tight. Really fucks up your tires.
Sounds really well done.A couple of the big berms on Skyline at the Snowshoe bike park is like this. I've eaten it hard when my front tire dips below the eroded sides of the pavers and I go for a quick and hard dirt nap. Sucks.

New XC trail?
At least you can't make fun of my visor. Also, no way that pic is from 2016. I mean look at how narrow those bars are.
damn I like that one. lolrollercoster,
remove the 2nd pic and the radness will go way up.
Berms belong on BMX tracks, pump tracks and SX courses.
Nope. But I will give you extra credit for leaving your finger off the front brakedamn I like that one. lol
Does it help that there is a log poking through the dirt underneath the bike?
I was disappointed with myself for having any fingers on the levers when I saw the picture, but if I didn't I probably would have blown out of the next one and into the woods.Nope. But I will give you extra credit for leaving your finger off the front brake
I know right!! We were talking about bringing the shovels some time and making it happen. You'd have to smash the pedals pretty hard to get up there. I doubt I could do it on the squishy bike.I was hoping to see a big step up on the other end
I vote re-shoot. He's got at least a foot and a half to go before the bar is even close to dragging the dirt.rollercoster,
