I want to move to BC!!!
ok so the pike is the Z1 of rockshox in some sense...

The weight difference is almost negligible for Z1FR1-Pike. Any ideas if the pike is user servicable as easily as a zocchi? spare parts etc?

Final thought... did you notice any difference in quality of products from RS since she got bought by SRAM?

You wont know until you try it and develope a valid opininon on it yourself. I chose to take everyone's word for it on the SPV Sherman, and guess what it was one of the worst forks I've ever owned.

In both shops I've worked in, I've serviced far more rock shox forks than any other brand.

Low Seal Quality and having to maintain a fork all the time is not on my list of "I wants".....

btw. the z.1 fr1 is rediculously sweet! I'm not a weight weenie, so at a little over 5.25 lbs the z.1 suits me perfectly! It's stiffer by a long shot than my sherman and '02 Super that I owned a few years back. Quality of travel is vastly improved and the ETA really locks the fork down nice and low.

I say give it a go on the pike, you wont know until you try it for yourself.

I have question for the pike owners though, especially in the 200lb range, these fork internals are still very linear, how does this fork resist bottom out and remain supple over small bumps?
