I need an app that will rename a bunch of files currently named "Track<nn>.mp3" with a scheme I come up with using some of the metadata from the song "tag" or whatever it's called...

Any nice little apps that will do this easily?

    I use Media Monkey.

It'll both let you do what you want (rename based on file tags), and also interacts with Amazon.com's CD database to automatically tag files or download album art.

i recommend using the command line

    :busted:

(actually, i fix my tags within iTunes, and have it rename and sort away the tracks in proper Artist/Album/Trackname.format convention for me.)
