Morning Monkeys.

This weekend will be a hot mess of crazy rain, should be good. Trying not to kill folks today, but Thanksgiving week can't get here soon enough.

Not that I'm looking forward to that drive or spending my vacation in Modesto, but at least it's not here.

Hey man rofl. Secured a solid 9:32 of sleep last according to my watch, then ran 10 miles at "marathon pace" (7:09 avg). Glad to get that shit done before the cold rain. WFH day is very quiet today.

You should definitely inconvenience yourself to satisfy other people and their pretentious pallettes.

What is up, my cherubs? Cold and rainy today and it's absolutely brilliant.

Grabbed some lumber this morning to frame out some stair platforms. Now to decide whether to go all in and rebuild everything to my standards or work with what's there.

I know

I'm kidding myself thinking I'm not going all in on this. Likewise, I'm already preparing for the "why is this taking so long?" "is that really necessary?" "That's a waste of money" from the wife.
Don't worry, she'll want to move soon and you can start over at the new place :D

A 2 x 12 between levels is more than enough, perhaps with some horizontal furring strips for traction.

I regularly fielded two out of three of those from Teh Spousal Unit™ when building The Bong Shed™ but now that it's done, she's as stoked on it as I am.

Probably with my package that says it was delivered to the house at 11:20, but is no where to be seen.

You'll also all be relieved to know that my AWOL package was located at our mailbox a quarter mile away from the house where tracking claimed it was.

A dusting of snow remains. Imma go ride.
Conditions were amazing. Took a pilot type with me, who was slow but worked hard, plus he did not did bitch. Ate some pretty big shit on a techy exposed section. Gonna be some pretty wild bruising later me thinks. 10/10, would ride again

100% Snowmageddon here. Got a nice ride in the deep snow in last night where it was just coming down, must have snowed 4-5" while I was out there...and it just kept snowing all night. Now we got around 2 feet and it's still coming down. I tried to get out and pack some trails on my hok skis, but goddamn the snow is just too heavy and wet to go far, I only made it about 2.5 miles total and the part I was working on is only maybe 1/4 of a mile both ways.

In usual fashion the wife made way too much chilli, so we've been having that for a few nights. Tonight she decided she didn't want chili and we should go out. Problem is there really isn't anything good in town. She says "I heard the Village Inn is under new management and they made some improvements". The management may have changed, but the food is still pretty bad. There is a reason we were the only ones in there at 6.
