I'm currently working with a company that wants to apply some new servo motor technology, they will be able to layout carbon fuselages more than twice as fast as things are done today.
Ah, nice. It certainly will be a good looking aircraft. I was in the Everett facility in May, and saw the enourmous amount of stuff they had to move to make room for the 787 production line...looks like they are making some good progress. I'd like to go back when production has started...having the 747, 777, and 787 being built under one roof will be exciting.

Before the 787, the highest CF consumption jet-liner was around 7% by volume. The 787 has well over 50% CF by volume I believe. Can you say international shortage?? *Note: not exact numbers*
I believe I read something about that in a cycling magazine recently. Boeing has a contract with the world's largest pure carbon manufacturer...we will definetly see a decrease in the number of full carbon bikes and a price increase on carbon components.
