You’d think that, but Kobe was worth what? Seventy six gajillion dollars and the charter company that angered him into the side of a hill was sketch as fuck. They had what was once nice equipment, but their helicopters were held together with bubblegum and duct tape, and were mostly known around here as the charter company only the really really tight on cash oil companies used to get to their rigs.

How many rich people have died in shitbox 20 year old private jets?
Good point. I’m wrong yet again, which I’m used to now.

It doesn't matter how many names you call me, it's still dodging the point. You're using the language of privelidge to demean a rich prick to equate him with a poor working class person in order to put him beneath you, which he is not.....and the very premise is elitist as fuck.

He's just a douchebag with a helicopter.
I can get down with that assessment as well.

Im not calling you names, I am Gen X.
Who cares....that whole Gen_ thing was just invented to define house buying markets in the 90s.

remember gen V? Me neither.

Like "baby boomers" with lots of post war prosperity and gov't homeownership incentives. Notice how they missed the generation between those two? Doesn't exist. Never happened.

Redneck is regional even before it's class dependent. It was a demeaning way to associate poor white people with slaves or ex-slaves for rich fuckwit whites to separate themselves. The definition itself was meant to define people outside all day, hunched over cotton doing 'slave work'. Poverty in wy is not redneck. That's just poverty.
This the source of the term, granted, and a sad thing.

But language ain't static. There's no correct definition for anything.

"Midlands, founded by English Quakers followed by the Pennsylvania Dutch, consists of southeast Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, northern Delaware and Maryland, north central Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, northern Missouri, most of Iowa, and the eastern halves of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas, as well has southern Ontario. The border city of Chicago is shared with Yankeedom and St. Louis with Greater Appalachia. Midlands promotes peaceful values and has often been in several elections the great swing-region between Yankeedom and the Southern Nations."

BTW, this thread is quite entertaining watching two residents of some of the most wealthy communities in the states arguing about the definition of Redneck.
Tahoe ain't got shit on the coastal douche communities in the sate. Guess where tahoe sits compared to avg california home prices (I'll save you the trouble, it's the same as the state average). Jackson is literally THE RICHEST COMMUNITY IN THE NATION.

I watch you guys put down payments on houses all over the country that are twice the value of what I live in .

Rent was 250 bucks when I moved here. Cheaper than where I lived in atlanta near ga-tech and cheaper than where I lived in gainesville, fl

Its leaving quick but this was not a wealthy area when I moved here. It was still just one of many elements...since taken over.

Only one of us pays for the service of carbon rim cleaning :D

So, I was telling a co-worker about this incident. He lives in St. Anthony. Grew up in a trailer on a Mormon potato farmers property. Dropped out of school at 14. Got a girl pregnant, went to jail for possession. Has neck tattoos. Rides sand dune paddle motos, four wheelers and sleds for fun.
Without prompting him in any way, his description of events was:
"That's some redneck shit right there!"
This is Keegan.

Have you BEEN to southern Idaho?
(He ain't momo)
Have you BEEN to mississippi?

I almost took a job in Idaho Falls a few years ago when escape was still a possibility. I've spent tons of time around there. I go through Burley fairly frequently. I'd say coming from that region and NOT being mormon is quite an accomplishment. Continuing to list places 'poorer with more motorized toys than me' is not building the case you think it is. At least 'rural' leans in the right direction!

Pre washed and faded denim, ear gauges and perfectly coifed hair ? That ain’t a redneck, that’s a gay porn star. Nothing wrong with that of course. But I can see where you might get confused being that you’ve been away for so long.
