A friend is getting married soon in the Silver Plume area (Between Georgetown and Frisco area). We're going to camp for a night in the area although it doesn't have to be too close.

I haven't done any camping in Colorado so I'm curious if anyone can suggest a good campground. I'm hoping for something that's not too crowded with plenty of trees and a restroom (the wife insists).

Biking isn't necessary as I'm forced to leave my bike at home for this trip. Hiking that is kid friendly might be good.

IIRC there's a lot of USFS land up off of Guanella Pass (outside of Georgetown) that is campable... but I doubt there are bathrooms.

Actually I was up Guanella a few weeks ago and I think I saw some restrooms at one of the spots.
