Alright, I've decided to sell my V10 and get something that is more versatile. It's gotta be able to be pedaled uphill, but still rip coming down.

The Transition DirtBag is on the top of my list right now, but I'm just looking for a little push to finalize my decision. I'm also torn as to what fork to put on it.

Here are my options:
DirtBag Complete with Marzocchi 66RC2X
DirtBag Complete with Marzocchi 888RC2X
DirtBag Complete with Manitou Travis Triple 180/203
DirtBag Complete with Fox 36 Vanilla R

I'm leaning toward the 66 for agility and weight, but the 888 doesn't weigh much more, so I'm torn.

If anyone's got better ideas in the same general price range ($2800 for the full rig) let's hear 'em.

I guess it all depends on how you build it up, but I ride with a guy who has a dirtbag that weighs in at 56 lbs. and its way too squishy to pedal up anything. Both the 66 and 888 are good forks, I'd take one of those over the manitou or fox.

Have you thought about the transition bottlerocket with a 66? It looks like it will fit your type of riding(uphill + fast downhill). There's some pics of it doing some pretty big gaps on the transition website.
