I am not big fan of red-white 2011 Demos, but I really like the shape of this frame :)

Mine is more of a FR/mini DH but its going to be my only bike for 2011, built it up a month ago. Since this pic i added a ti coil. It sits at 34.4 lbs right now. switching the brakes to Formula the one's when the 2011's come out and might switch the cranks too. Also rock shox reverb for AM days and I have mavic 823's laced to hope hubs and DH tires as a DH wheelset. Should have everything covered...

Sunline 745 bar
Grips...they're red (now)...can't remember who makes them
Saddle - sweet Specialized road saddle off my Dad's old road bike...it even says "carbon" on it, which is important.

Why not? It's laterally stiff and its 8" of travel is plush and forgiving. Yes, it gives up a pound to the Fox 40 and the internal valving may not be as sophisticated; but it performs well for me and RST has been very good to me over the years.

MinorThreat, I do believe it works. Being a sponsored rider has its rights...

My old 2009 trek session is workin pretty good right now. It is hard to justify a new frame for next season as the winter gets underway. Maybe in the march/april timeframe, and if I can get some money saved, I can get on a 2011 Demo or M9.

I did splurge and got a new Dorado Pro for 2011 season tho. :p

I call BS on that weight. I have not seen any M9's uner 40lbs.
I call bs on your bs. That frame weights what? 5.2kg with shock? I've seen old glorys < 37lbs so why it can't be light? Because m9 users are not weight wennies? My legend is 36.9 right now and the frame is only 200g lighter.

Here's mine

I want my bars low and my fork high.

Cool rig Ben. Any changes in the Gambler for the next year?

Well my legend rocks 823s and it's lighter. Yes it has a WC, not a Fox but still. Doable.

Since you "have not seen any M9's under 40lbs" it is impossible to obtain that weight? Your a complete moron! My two previous M6's were 37.75lbs with 40's and 36.90lbs with a Boxxer WC. The frame weights were EXACTLY same as my M9, 11.36LBS with a 400lbs steel spring (the M6 had a 350lb spring.) I just pulled the majority of the parts over from my last M6 (not the one in the link.) Here is a link to my first m6:

Scroll down to the 7th post and you will see the weight. Please feel free to rejoin this thread once you learn a thing or two about bike weights. Thanks

meh, i rode DH for 9 years before i started to care about weight. im sure this bike would ride just as good at 44lbs as it would at 37lbs.
im 220lbs, im sure i could stand to lose more weight then my bike can :D

I rode my buddies m6 which was about 41lbs and it felt solid. If anything it felt a little more stable and was less flick-able then my old m6. Regardless to stay it defiantly didn't pedal as well.

First no reason for name calling.
Didn't say impossible, just seems weird with nothing super light.

My full build is over 41lbs and nothing super heavy parts wise. I would love to know how to get sub 40lbs
most of my weight is in the wheels, Kings laced to 823s but the guy I bought them off of drilled out the 823s for schrader. F/Wicked Will 2.5 R/HR 2.5 with regular tubes. 8" G3 rotors
Small Black chrome frame is 11.56 with CCDB 350 steel spring, axle
Twenty6 seat clamp, I-beam alum cut to 8", I-fly saddle
Saint brakes and 165 cranks, E-Thirteen 36t, Lg-1+, Canfield Cramptons
2010 Boxxer Team, Point One DM stem, CroMag OSX black chrome bars, X.O shifter, X.O ss der, 11-28 SLX cassette, PC991 cross step chain
Intense lock-ons, Twenty6 gascaps.

41.2 lbs
721s would lower the weight but the durability becomes an issue.
don't know if 729s are worth it. If I put Deity Black Label bars on it instead of the OSX I could save some weight but not much
waiting on my ti spring.
