Did you come off the old one? I see you are in the (what I assume is) the slack position on the dropouts? How's that working out? I stuck my drop outs in the middle setting, but I'm also using a Fox 36 on it.
Just about to go build it now, as soon as I find my bottle opener.

Hi, yep the slack position, and I just switched the fork to 36 160mm as well. My previous bike is 'custom' SX which is even slacker (65HA) but the seat tube was too slack for uphills, so I got this frame. Had my 1st AM ride this afternoon and it feels great! Heavier frame than it looks but overall it's one of the few with this geometry.
And yes, I drilled the hole for the stealth reverb.. discussed at mtbr.

I love seeing the older bikes in this thread. Yeah, every other brand new $7000 revolt/V10/whatever is neat, but to know that there are still people hucking themselves on 2006+ bikes is pretty cool.

I'm slowly trying to get it as close to DH spec as I can. That's pretty much all I ride here in NZ.

Easton Monkey Bar EA70 low rise bars
DMR grips
2013 Shimano SLX brakes

2011 Rockshox Boxxer RC triple clamps
2011 Fox Van R shock with 450x3.25 Fox spring
Custom 200 mm rear travel linkages
241 mm shock mount
e-thirteen chain guide and supercharger bash ring
Dartmoor bikes Sealed CNC Flat Pedals (removable pins, 6061 alloy)
2013 SRAM X5 componentry set (derailleur, shifter, 11-26 cassette, 9 speed chain)
Not pictured are the Alex Supra D DH rims and SR Lawwill hubs, -1.5° Works Components headset and +10 mm Scott IDS dropouts. I'm hoping to have these fitted in the next week.
I'm sure it's heavy but I have no idea how much it weighs

They say that they have shaved some weight off the Mega this year, does that build come up to the 30'ish end of the scale?

i run it as shown for trail duty (enve + single ply) and just swap wheels (729 + 2 ply) for dh mode.
Whats the weight on that Roam?
It's 32lbs with a 66 on it, and 8" saints.
I am sticking a lyrik on in the next week which will drop 1.5lbs.
I could probably get it to 28 or so if I wanted it to be a straight trail bike (monarch plus, 6" xc brakes, etc), but there really isn't much real dh here, so having it be legit for the bike parks is nice.

You sure that rear tire is big enough?
maxxis 2.2 yo! it just happens to be bigger than an ardent/advantage 2.4, and about an inch bigger than a 2.3 DHR2

What size and whats she weigh? The stupid frame weight has me iffy about getting one. Would rather not have a 35 lb AM bike.

They have a little, but not a huge amount about l lbs off my older one but I had coil lyrics on it and this one has solo air ones. Biggest change is much more room in the cockpit and the new Monarch Plus and the Monarch on the TR Model are vastly improved. The build as it is there is 31.1lbs for a medium. Its a Pro build with a few changes. Swapped the wheels out for Hope Pro 2 hubs with Flow ex rims, Conti Rubber Queen rear and Baron front. Went for xt cranks with a gamut chainring and an xt cassette to shave a few grams. Out of the box it was 31.9lbs with out pedals. When I was done swapping parts, trimming cables and popped on a set of XT trail pedals it was 31.2lbs. Not sure it was worth the effort but id rather be running those parts as there own hubs arent great for durability, Im not a big fan of gxp bottom brackets as I only get a few months out of them and well the stock cassette was a bit of a let down given the rest of the spec.
