I stand corrected; seems counterintuitive, but then again..
Now I guess I'll go rotate mine 180deg!

Rotate ur chainguide. Nice build though.Oldie but still certainly a goodie! Reminiscing over the Super 8 thread has reminded me how much things have changed in a decade.
2008 Turner DHR with basically an all new build kit. Ready to slay some trails. 41# on the LBS scale.

Going to ride it in 8.5'' or 10'' mode?
Still one of the most sexy looking bikes out there! My Intense 951 for 2013...
What?two best dh bikes.. i prefer the jedi because minus wight and smaler frame design "alfine" part... and no shock issue on the downtube. the shift part and +wight in the rear is no problem for me!
sorry,What?
The Jedi is longer and does feel nice.
double post.What?

How much lighter is your Jedi than the Zerode with a similar build (presumably)?two best dh bikes.. i prefer the jedi because minus wight and smaler frame design "alfine" part... and no shock issue on the downtube. the shift part and +wight in the rear is no problem for me!
Why does it matter? We all know that the Zerode rides way lighter than any other bike. How much lighter is your Jedi than the Zerode with a similar build (presumably)?
First V10 I really, really like.
I have some custom Dorado decals being made up, relacing with Flow EXs, and maybe swapping to XTR Trail brakes.
Weight is 36lbs flat.
I'm pretty sure I had some of my best results on a bike I hatedThe weight of the Zerode doesn't seem to be bothering people winning on them(under 19s New Zealand national champ just now), or what seems to be the most photographed DHer in Oz at the moment because of his fat whips, Ben Hill.
Wow, so fvcking sick. Beautiful build.some better pics in the light.
Seems about right. Does that motor double as a bash guard?something to pull the baby trailer with for me
I haven't ridden any gnarl with it yet - not that we have much of that in my area. Time will tell if it gets hit much, and I'll update as things go along. Its not like the crankcase of my motos don't get beat up, but they also get the frame tubes under there, and some aluminum guards too. This is a first gen product, so one can't expect evolution yet.Does that motor double as a bash guard?
No doubt electric bikes will be lots of fun, but I can't help think they're going to jeopardize mountain bike access and change the trails for ever when they become popular, and lazy people can get out there with even less skills, and more corner cutting dirt raping torque.. Maybe I'm just paranoid.I haven't ridden any gnarl with it yet - not that we have much of that in my area. Time will tell if it gets hit much, and I'll update as things go along. Motorizing bikes for off-road use is a polarizing subject, but if you can put all hate aside its a lot of fun when you ride it.
Most trails are designated non-motorized, so bikes with electric motors are not allowed on them anyways. If someone rides them on these trails then it is as illegal as using a dirtbike. Are dirtbikes a problem on the trails you ride?No doubt electric bikes will be lots of fun, but I can't help think they're going to jeopardize mountain bike access and change the trails for ever when they become popular, and lazy people can get out there with even less skills, and more corner cutting dirt raping torque.. Would probably be the grave digger of (free) mountainbiking in the alps too. There are already restrictions and our enemies just wait for more of this:A motorized mountain bike would NOT help our current access issues.
