Here I sit in a cast for at least 3 more weeks. I am missing out on some prime riding and racing right now.
Which got me thinking, Ridemonkey is stocked full with morons. I bet some of your dumb injury stories will make me feel better about my own.
So, post them up.
Here is mine.
I was doing laps on my pump track getting ready for a slalom race that was coming up that weekend.
I have probaly done over 1000 laps on this track in the last couple of years. So, I come out of a downhill berm, which is the fastest part of the track. I drift to the left of the next roller and put my bar into a chain link fence. My pinky finger went into the fence and the rest of me kept going. The twisting motion of my hand, caused a nasty spiral fracture
in my hand. Doc said I was borderline on if it would heal in a cast, but that is the direction he advised me to take.
So, I have a few weeks to really breathe in my fail.
