I think you ar right - I have one too without the shock boot things. when it works it works awesome but it tends to slowly leak air - do you think it would be worth it to check with Manitou to see if they can overhaul it - it would make for a really nice 100mm cross country fork if it were brought back to life a little bit.iljicS said:I think it's a '01 Manitou X-Vert Air, my girlfriend has the same fork !
yeah, what he said...iljicS said:X-Vert Super and Air has the same "MRD Hyperlite crown" and the Super was produced only in red.

Just trying to look out for a fellow Bullit head, no insult intended.erikkellison said:Hey 8it,
Just to clarify, I know what I'm doing. On a size large frame such as my own Bullit, you can run the shock "upside down" and it still works fine. However, in "upside-down" mode, you can get at the adjustments much more easily. That's why I have it that way, it was no accident (gaul, don't you think I would have noticed the lettering being upside down?)

Sorry man, I was in "argue" mode, as I too often am on this forum. Thanks for helping me see straight. I knew you didn't mean it like that, but for some reason, I still typed like I didn't. I wish everyone was as understanding of my misplaced bad tone as you are (besides wishing that my tone wasn't misplaced in the first place). Peace, Bullit's rule.8it said:Just trying to look out for a fellow Bullit head, no insult intended.
