Hey 8it,
Just to clarify, I know what I'm doing. On a size large frame such as my own Bullit, you can run the shock "upside down" and it still works fine. However, in "upside-down" mode, you can get at the adjustments much more easily. That's why I have it that way, it was no accident (gaul, don't you think I would have noticed the lettering being upside down?)

I think it's a '01 Manitou X-Vert Air, my girlfriend has the same fork !
I think you ar right - I have one too without the shock boot things. when it works it works awesome but it tends to slowly leak air - do you think it would be worth it to check with Manitou to see if they can overhaul it - it would make for a really nice 100mm cross country fork if it were brought back to life a little bit.

X-Vert Super and Air has the same "MRD Hyperlite crown" and the Super was produced only in red.
yeah, what he said...

on that truth it is an xvert air. and yes, it does leak a bit of air over time, but you just gotta check it before you go out for a ride, other than that its a great fork.

i also have the xvert super in red as a beater fork and its got the same crowns...but thats a coil version

nice ride. Hows the gearbox?

It's not the 'gearbox' per se.

It's the Rohloff hub. 14 internal gears. It's alright...I just wish there was a trigger shifter instead of a gripshift-type thing.

Just trying to look out for a fellow Bullit head, no insult intended.

thx for the comments:) the cruiser is a Haro Nyquist R24 with some light modifications: Seat(not on the pic(.243 bmx)), tires(i've put the original ones back since 2.35 is too big), pedals(primo), no more gyro(sucks ass!) and the gear(premium products(copy of macneil). I changed the crank on the bullit for a diabolus BTW and it's not black anymore but apple green:D

Sorry man, I was in "argue" mode, as I too often am on this forum. Thanks for helping me see straight. I knew you didn't mean it like that, but for some reason, I still typed like I didn't. I wish everyone was as understanding of my misplaced bad tone as you are (besides wishing that my tone wasn't misplaced in the first place). Peace, Bullit's rule.
