Fingers crossed this is an indicator. I am beginning to believe that many polls are covering themselves so as not to upset either side or predict incorrectly.

what's most telling to me right now:

states which have been traditionally deep red - and where trump has won be double digits in the past, his lead is within the margin of error of polling, or harris is now in the lead (IA).

early voting is up. i saw that in Milwaukee there were nearly 10k *newly registered* same day voters. no polling accounts for newly registered voters. i kinda doubt this is an isolated incident.

women are outvoting men in early voting pretty consistently, in some states by as much as 10%

harris is leading women 65+ and latinos by >30%

Wild to think that no matter how this turns out 50% of the population (at least the voting population) will be displeased with the results.
i'm more concerned about the tiny percentage that are going to think this is deep state tyranny or some such nonsense, and try to overthrow the gov't again. i'm most concerned that some local kooks are going to do something dumb. PA doesn't have a waiting period on firearm purchases.

projecting some optimism here:

I'd like to see Whitmer2032 (with Pete as VP) and then Pete2040. that'd work for me just fine, yep

Optimistically (at this moment) looking forward to a Harris win, I'm interested to see what she'd do with her cabinet. If it was a Biden second term, they'd likely all continue in their current positions.

no more merrick garland pls. let's get somebody to put trump in jail.

I would predict at least one liberal justice stepping down to be replaced by like a 20 year old so that seat is safe for a few years. no rgb2.0
